3. BTW, it's "bastard" in the original play
Not "son of a sea cook". Just in case you didn't know. :-)

5. Yes it is
And me too. I turned a friend onto it last year. She'd never seen it before even though she's a big Cary Grant fan. I remember reading in a biography of George S. Kaufmann that the play was originally written as a serious drama but was so unintentionally funny that Kaufmann doctored it up into the farce we enjoy today.

6. I saw this movie when I was a kid
You used to see old movies like this for free on TV all the time.

Long before Ted Turner bought them all up.

Those were the good old days

check out this link ... it has a section called "English TV" that provides links to about 25 TV stations ...

some nice tunes on a station called: Kulak's Woodshed ... a little folk, a little Dixieland ...

or for an interesting show on various sources of energy, e.g. wind and nuclear, check out this link:

mms://streaming.i2i-technology.com/5BB

Note: you'll need to copy and paste it into your browser's address bar because the "non-standard" url cannot be converted to a link using the DU software

some of the stations use WMP and some use the RealPlayer ... i hate the RealPlayer and don't have it installed ...

10. testing conversion of the url to a "tinyURL"
thanks to a tip i received (via PM) from a DU'er, i went to a website called www.tinyURL.com and loaded the link provided in the post above to an input box ... the link was then converted to:

http://tinyurl.com/5rwrc which now appears as a clickable link on DU ...

thanks for tip !!!

11. testing url encoding ... please ignore ...
Edited on Thu Mar-24-05 01:10 PM by welshTerrier2
go here ...

note: if you wrap your own anchor tags around a non-conforming URL, DU can correctly build the link ...

so, if you substitute DU's [] syntax for the standard <> syntax show below, the link will work on DU:

<a href=mms://streaming.i2i-technology.com/5BB>go here ...</a>
