Can everyone stop telling others what to start threads on?
This is a DISCUSSION board. That means if individuals want to discuss a certain topic, they will start a thread on that topic. We're going through this crap with Schiavo threads now, but in the past battles have taken place over cat threads, copycat threads, sports team threads, etc etc etc.

Oh, you say. You don't want to BAN threads, just limit them to their own forum. So where is the line drawn? Should we create a Copycat forum for copycat threads? Should Patriots threads be limited to a New England Patriots forum?

This site is very easily customized to suit your needs. DU does not need to be customized to fit any individual's needs.

That little x with the box around it is there for a reason. Use it. Ferchrissakes.

2. Astonishingly prescient,
even if it's not that huge of an intuitive leap.

So what's on deck for April, Kreskin?

4. A copycat forum?
Wouldn't that lead to infinite regress, causing DU to implode into a dense singularity, thus creating a black hole that would consume the galaxy?

I'm all for it!

5. Hmm. I'm not up to date on my physics,
but I think the vacuum caused by the enormous mass of empty skulls in that forum would compound the effect you describe in your excellent observation.
