I know I have touted this show before but it just keeps getting better. What I though would be the very rare lame episode instead turned out to be a tremendous allegory on hate crimes and coming out. Clearly the series is heading toward Clark telling Lana what his secret is (or having her find out) but tonight's episode put it in the context of people like Clark being murdered by a vigilante. This was a brilliant episode for the week of the 5th anniversary of Matthew Shephard's death. They are starting from the beginning on Sundays (episode 3 of the first season is this Sunday). If you have never seen the show give it a chance. It isn't the West Wing in all fairness but clearly these people have an overarching theme which continues to inspire. And for those who like eye candy there is quite a bit for likers of both genders.

2. In many ways Science fiction |

provides our best commentary on the present. It is no accident that one of the first black women on TV was on Star Trek and that the first interracial kiss was there too. The 50's saw Sci Fi comment on McCarthyism both pro and con. This show has brilliantly spun an allegory of secret keeping and being in the closet. That, and the anti corporate theme, make for one of the most liberal shows on TV.
