And speaking of blasphemy...
On my way to church last night for Good Friday services, I passed another church with a sign out front that read:

"'Come join me to celebrate my re-birthday!' - Jesus"

Blasphemy or not blasphemy?

1. some would say that worshipping false idols is wrong
Wouldn't it be funny if we all got to heaven and the Jews were right all along?

2. I'm not talking about worshipping false idols, I'm talking about
making up something obviously not said by Jesus and directly attributing it to Jesus as a quote.

8. Tacky. Plus . . .
they attributed a quote to him that he never said. I was raised Baptist. I never saw any re-birthday party invitations in my red-letter version of the New Testament.
