Al Swearengen is a Guest on Tonight's "Real Time" w/ Bill Maher...
...and I think he's just the man to set those hoople-headed c*cksuckers straight!!! (Inside joke from Deadwood.)

Actually, I've never heard anything about Ian McShane's politics, but I really admire his work on Deadwood so I'll be interested to find out more about what some of his real-life beliefs are.

I know some here can't forgive Maher and his show for not being all-Liberal, all-the-time, but the lineup of guests seems pretty interesting. Never heard of Joe Watkins, though.

Real Time with Bill Maher returns with a new edition Friday, April 8 at 11 pm.

Bill's guests will include former Gov. Mario Cuomo, conservative Richard Perle, Deadwood's Ian McShane, writer Arianna Huffington and TV talk show host Joe Watkins...

3. Joe Watkins Is The Idiot Black Wanker From Crossfire...
He babbles constantly and says nothing of import or intelligence...

He is some sort of preacher, so I guess that explains it...

He has this constant SE grin on his face as he interrupts and babbles....He's worse than Tucker Bow Tie or Robert Novak who occasionally have a thought in their heads...

8. Thanks...
...didn't know him from Adam. Googled an image and this is him, apparently:

Never saw him before.

My guess is Cuomo will be on satellite rather than in studio. The two biggest names from last week's line-up, Jesse Jackson and O'Reilly, were both only on satellite, too. It was a little disappointing.

But, hey, I'd bet my last dollar Al Swearingen will be one of the ones in the studio tonight!

6. You got me wondering about McShane's politics, so I googled, and found
this interview from Maxim Ñ
http://www.maximonline.com/entertainment/articles/article_6294.html

While weÕre on the topic, who are the real-life c*cksuckers?

Politicians. Producers. The money people. People who run things, or believe theyÕre in charge. People who promote the trickle-down theory of economics. Team owners who demand that taxpayers build new stadiums for them. And anyone who has anything to do with running a Wal-Mart.

11. Keep an eye on The History Channel...
They've been running a "Wild West Tech" show about the real Deadwood, SD. And the real Al Swearengen, Seth Bullock, etc.

Swearengen's first two wives divorced him for spousal cruelty (and I'd guess divorces were harder to get back then than now).

His third wife was beaten so badly she died, IIRC.
