1. Yep. If nothing else, I need to read the "Locking" post
to see why it was locked. A lock on a thread usually makes me pay attention to it, even if I hadn't before, LOL!

9. HEY!
Just because you caught me ONE time with those binoculars!

I happen to be an avid bird watcher, and in case you didn't know, the best ones come out at night in front of my neighbor's window.

7. Especially if you see about 60 responses before it gets locked.
You just have to see the smoldering carnage.

10. I saw one not Long ago that was locked with only
a half dozen posts. I didn't see anything wrong with it and there was no explanation as to why. The message area was blank.

11. Remember when a thread would be locked and later it would
be kicked to the top by someone that had spent all that time composing a post?
Sometimes that last post was verrry interesting, in a flame-war kind of way. :)

12. The funniest ones are when...
...there is a big time meltdown with an obvious freeper disprupter, and "newyawker99" shows up in the middle of it, and welcomes them to DU. It usually goes something like this:

FUCK OFF

GO BACK TO FREEPERLAND YOU JERK

Hi Freepboy 123 Welcome to DU!!!

Listen you piece of shit...

OMG

14. It depends on the topic. Sometimes the original poster, but much more
the topic.
