As citizens we have a responsibility to keep ourselves well informed and not limit our access to that with which we already agree. How would you feel about a Republican who got his news exclusively from Free Republic and Sean Hannity's show? It is no different. The segregation of news, the tendency of Americans to pay attention to only that which confirms their preexisting beliefs, has a lot to do with the kind of politicians that end up leading our country and the fact they get away with virtually anything.

4. True.
But I don't need to line the pockets of those overpaid hacks on TV. Most of that gets posted here anyway. Listening to their propaganda does not affect my opinion, except to make me angrier.

But reading the Wall Street Journal is useful. It's a good newspaper, and you can see what mainline conservatives are thinking. The editors, for example, have called for Tom DeLay to step down.
