Shit. I don't know what to have for dinner. |
|
I ate like a pig last night (sweet and sour chicken, chips, phish food, AND pizza-can we guess why?), so I don't want anything heavy. I'm thinking cereal and soy milk. Mebbe some yogurt?

7. Shit. I don't know what to have for dinner. Allow me to suggest... |
|
... not having shit. What would the side dish be?
:hurts: 'Course, there'd be no need for a plate. Just flush.
I apologize. I spent the day with fourth and fifth graders. My IQ dropped some.

16. Kerrytravelers, I'm laughing out loud! You'll like this one... |
|
I spent part of the week with my four-year-old grandson, Solomon. While we were driving around on Thursday, someone cut in front of my car and I said the "F" word. He asked me what it meant. Caught flatfooted, I told him it was a bad word about making love.
Then he asked me why it was a bad word. I told him I didn't know. Then he said, "What about shit -- that's a bad word too, right?"
"Yes," I declared, not knowing where this was leading.
"So, which is worse, Grandma, the 'F' word or the 'S' word?" Solomon quipped.
"Why do you want to know?" I countered.
"Well, if it's shit, then it starts with the same letter of my first name Solomon, but then if it's f**k, it starts with the same first letter of my friend's name, Frankie. (LONG PAUSE) So, you see, Grandma, I'm learning my letters."

just half a bag of salad mix, a cut up tomato, a splash of olive oil and some red wine or balsamic vinegar. Sprinkle of Season-All if you like it.

11. WindRavenX, what do you have around the house? |
|
Do you feel like cooking at all? The cereal and soy milk is my evening meal quite frequently. Yogurt is good, too -- I like the plain and then I mix in cut-up fruit or canned fruit cocktail if I'm lazy, with a bit of granola cereal.
My best advice is just to Google whatever ingredients you have on the Internet and EUREKA! -- you've got tons of links to so many good things.
Last thing I prepared was Rock Cornish Hens -- with an Internet recipe. Delicious, and better than paying for cookbooks (although that's OK, too).
I ate too much last week and just redoubled my efforts to keep eating under control from Monday to Friday this week. It's a day at a time. I'm facing several doctors' visits next week with (hopefully) minor uterine surgery in mid-May. Woman-to-woman, if it's not one thing in this life, it's another.
In peace,
Radio Lady

17. OK. I understand. You have some kind of common living |
|
situation. You're cryptic -- are you at school? At work? I'm lacking information. In college, I lived in a girls' dormitory with 60 other women. I was one of the breakfast cooks, and other folks made lunch and dinner and took on other jobs.
There was always some great leftovers and we tried to keep the common refrigerator in good shape.

13. When I want something light ... |

I make a cheese omelette. Dump a few eggs in a pan, lay a couple of slices of American cheese on top and in 5 minutes ... dinner is served!
