What are you doing for someone else tonight ?
I am making dinner for my so. While that in and of itself is not that out of place, the timing and circumstances are. She is going to be home early tonight and I have about a million things to "get done" before Monday AM... But fuck it. Tonight, is ours...its going to be good food, Bill Maher, and some time with our critters.... EOM.

1. Already did it
I just finished six weeks' worth of jury duty, including a rough week of deliberations, and set an innocent man free.

2. It's more like what someone's doing for me.
My husband took the kids on a weekend trip because I REALLY need a couple days of peace. Bless the man!

3. Umm..
I'm doing something "special" for my husband later. I won't go into detail because I don't want to get this thread locked (and that's kind of tacky anyway IMO). He's had a really lousy week and ended up working late tonight so I know he'll be stressed. Poor guy.

5. I made sure my neice was OK
It seems she "vanished" and nobody could find her. She left behind her makeup and her medicine, so everyone was worried about abduction. I apparently was the only one who seems to know that they can all be found within a 2-mile radius of the point of departure if you start the search within 48 hours (yes, sometimes dead). Anyway, she was found at a makeshift "safehouse" about a mile away after claiming to be an abused child. The only abuse she ever suffers is being forced to do her homework. I'm very relieved, yet disturebed that no Missing Child or Amber Alert went out despite the prompt police contact.

8. Listening patiently on the phone while my husband devoured a Snickers
We spent about 10 minutes in silence as he munched.

9. Nothing.
I work very hard in a sometimes emotionally draining and demanding job and the rest of the time, I'm usually with my children. I slept late today, spent an hour in a bubble bath (uninterupted, first time in about 15 years), and am now off to watch a chick flick for awhile by myself.

Later...
