I have 3 cats. Had four but lost one last week - bad heart and diabetes.

Its just so hard to know what to do and I'm glad I'm not in your situation right now - but it sounds like you have a good vet. And sometimes antibiotics just do wonders almost overnite.

13. He's throwing up constantly, some of which is just fluid (bile, maybe?)

He's very listless and seems depressed. He's a chronic vomiter, but it's been very worrisome over the past couple of days.

Tonight he seems a little brighter, but is still very quiet and doesn't feel like eating anything. He will drink a little water, but I can't interest him in food yet.

His timing is LOUSY; I have my last exam of law school Monday morning, and I can't concentrate on studying to save my life. Poor little guy! He's so much more important to me than this stupid exam (but I have to pass it or I won't graduate, so I guess I'd better hunker down; at least I have tomorrow to TRY to study).

Have you tried turkey baby food w/ him? It is very mild on the intestinal tract. Acidophillus might be a good thing to try. It will not hurt, and if his intestinal flora is messed up it could help quite a bit.

Keep him on your lap while you study - it will help you both.

Most importantly! - Don't 'act' like you are terribly concerned about his health around him, think positive thoughts - they pick up on everything!

Your cats are beautiful. last year my other car got a blockage in his urethra and I almost lost him. He had no symptoms I noticed, except he acted "wierd". I don;t know how to explain it, I just knew he was sick. THe vets said his bladder would have burst in a few more hours. I hope Simba gets better. It makes me heartsick to think about losing a cherished friend.
