about it, bringing forth every kind of petition on slavery imaginary, including ones where, supposedly, slaves said they wanted to remain slaves, where people said he was insane, etc, etc. In then end, he won out; the gag rule was repealed.
Thank you, John Quincy Adams. You were a true servant of the people and truly a man of conscience.
