Read about my awesome day!
So I decided that since my dad had a day off today that we would take a train into New York. We caught the 10:34 train and got literally the last parking spot at the train station, so had that not been there we would have just went back home.

So anyway we got there right around noon and headed over to the Met and spent about 5 hours wandering around the museum (I've never been there before) and I swear we didn't manage to see half of the stuff in there. It was so cool seeing all the great artwork. I must say my favorite stuff was the later Van Gogh paintings from what I like to call his "crazy go nuts gonna cut my ear off phase"

Then we walked about 45 blocks along Central Park to Times Square and found a nice place to eat dinner. It was a sports bar overlooking Times Square complete with beer that cost almost as much as our sandwiches (oh well thats NY for you).

Then this is where we got really spontaneous, we were walking along 42nd street and saw the theater where 12 Angry Men was playing. I knew it was closing this weekend and if we didn't see it now, we wouldn't ever get the chance, so I said dad, just for shits and giggles check and see if any seats were available. He did and we got 2 box seats for $50. They said that they were partially obstructed views but from where we sat, we saw 90% of the stage and most of the action occurs around the conference table. plus we were like 15 feet from the stage, you really can't beat the deal we got. Also when we were waiting in line the actress that plays Janice on the Sopranos was standing right next to me picking up some tickets. I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure it was her but once I heard her speak I knew it, and then she walked away before I gathered up the nerve to say anything, but it was still cool.

All in all it was a pretty kick ass day, my feet are aching and I think I'm going to turn on the TV and collapse. I really do love NY!!!
