I'm frying liver tonight...
Edited on Mon May-16-05 08:54 PM by Redstone
mine, specifically. Mrs R. knew I wasn't having the greatest of days, so she surprised me with a nice bottle of Maker's Mark whiskey.

Is she great, or what?

Slainte!

1. The mark of the maker makes me pray that life will never end...
...until I snuff it out with one dram too many.

14. Haven't tried Knob Creek yet. As for Irish, I'm a longtime fan of
Tullamore Dew, again available in the US after some years of absence. Not that Jameson's is bad, especially when topped with a layer of Irish Mist.

15. The whiskey? With Chianti and fava beans? No, a better accompaniment
is smuggled Canadian Robaxin. Yes, you can get that over the counter up there.

I'm quite relaxed at the moment, thank you very much.

23. Methacarbamol. Relaxes muscle spasms...
Had a knot the size of an eggplant above the left clavicle earlier, but it's reduced to about baseball diameter now.

Great stuff. Combined with the Maker's Mark and a dash of Ambien, quite the thing to take the edge off. Though no drowsiness yet, dammit.

29. Not only awake, but alert as well, dammit...
because RSDS ( www.rsdhope.org ) trumps even frightening amounts of drugs, unless the drugs are administered on a steady schedule (and if they are, the amount required for effectiveness goes WAY down).

Unfortunately, as anyone who pays attention will know, it's goddamn hard to find a Pain Management doctor in this country, what with the fucking DEA hounding them all out of business.

Starting with a new one soon, though...

30. Redstone, I hope you get some relief.
I have a friend who has Raynaud's, and I know what she goes through.
It took a long time, and a lot of strange things happening to her health-wise before they finally came up with the diagnosis.

She has taken Tegretol with some success.

I hope the new Pain Management doctor will be able to give you some help.

Thanks,

32. Thanks for the recipe, but I won't be using it...
I grew up in a poor family, and the rule was "Here's dinner. If you don't like it, go without."

Liver was the only thing I routinely went hungry rather than eat.

I don't criticize people who like foods that I don't, so hey, next time we have liver around here, you can have my share.

Deal?

34. Your TR-4? Oh, yes. I'm stone sober at this point,
though a bit tired.

Running a TR4 through the night air would be a nice stimulant, not to mention bringing back buckets of memories of the years long past.

I have a nice, modern convertible now that doesn't leak or break, and even has heated seats for those nippy, marginal fall days, but there's still something abut the Brit sportscars...

Hope you're enjoying that Triumph. It's a beauty.

See, I told you I was sober. That's when I don't catch the typos, because I figure I don't have to be careful.
