My best friend...

is acting childish and like such a jerk. We work in the same dept. and can see each other's office's. She hasn't spoke to me since last Friday. I don't know why. I've asked her and she replies "nothing", but has totally cut me off from our usual breaks, hanging out in each others office, etc. I mean we have been like Laverne and Shirley for several years. The only think I can think of is that another friend confided in me about going to Vegas and getting married and I had to keep the secret and announce it to everyone when it was all said and done. I have a feeling she is mad because I didn't let her in on the secret, but I made a promise and kept it. I dunno...just needed to vent.:shrug:

I've always thought that we were tight. I've given her space, but I'm not into playing grade school games. If there's a problem, I just wish she'd tell me...that's what's got me floored, we've always confided in each other. Makes for a very uncomfortable working day...

5. She's had alot...

of personal problems, i.e. kids, divorce, bum boyfriend, raising a 6 yr old grandson(all within last 5 yrs), but I never dreamed she get upset about me keeping something confidential that another had asked me to do. Besides, it was a 'good thing' and everyone was happy when the news got out. I'm just bummed...I miss my friend.

6. Don't give up on her.

You shouldn't throw away a good friendship over a few bad days. It's so hard to find good friends in today's world. Just give her time to get over whatever it is. Hopefully, the two of you will laugh about this later on. :hug:
