If only for Gene Wilder's likable yet menacing performance.

I loved his rendition of Buster Keaton in Benny and Joon.
Actually his pirate was somewhat Keatonesque too, what with stepping right onto the dock from his sinking boat and all.

At first I thought I might.
But since they are promoting this as a "Tom Cruise" film, for-fucking-get it.

I refused to go to "Minority Report" and "Swordfish" too. No money for the cult.

6. I saw the original. And I saw "Independence Day" |
|
AND I saw "Mars Attacks!"
I think I've had my fill of "aliens coming to Earth and blowing everything up" movies, thank you.

Can't wait to see how the story is morphed into the next Scientology movie.

|
Or make Earth psychiatrists into an fifth column. You read it here first.

16. I dont agree with his views on certain subjects but |
|
He makes good to great films.Rarely makes a stinker.I can separate his off screen life from his movies.
I grew up being a big fan of Charlton Heston and even though I strongly disagree with his NRA "guns for everyone" stance Im still a fan of his old films.
The only exception I can name right now is old John Wayne war movies(still like his westerns). While other actors enlisted during WWII,he decided his career was more important and made war films starring him as the hero.

17. I think War of the Worlds reached it's peak in the radio drama |
|
which was much more interesting than the book.
I don't know what the point of this movie would be.
However, I actually have come to love Tom Cruise as an actor. His role in Magnolia has seldom been equalled.
How far he's come from Top Gun.
