Would you vote for someone because they'd be fun to party with?
Millions did. Huge mistake.

Would you marry someone because they're fun to party with?

Many do. Huge mistake.

Would you choose a business partner because they're fun to party with?

A friend of mine did. Huge mistake.

Lesson: People who are fun to party with do not necessarily make the best elected officials, marriage or business partners...

Not only would I not want to have a beer with * ... I'd more than likely 'accidently' spill it on him.

9. When I was in college in Illinois, Governor Jim Thompson used
to come to the campus fraternities and pay for the keggers... cheap and easy votes. :toast:

4. This post snidely implies that President Bush is unworthy owing to --
-- his reputation in college days as a bit of a rabble-rouser and party boy and frankly,

...I love it.

Friendly Dubya with the beer can and the coke spoon and his daddy's shitpile of oil money vs. Gore or Kerry, thoughtful, emotionally mature adults with a keen sense of public service.

We gotta make good choices and a lot of red state voters failed to do that these last two elections.

5. I wouldn't even loan my car,
much less my country, to someone just because he's "fun to party with".

8. During the election I heard so many times that people thought Kerry was
too stiff and intellectual- not the kind of guy you'd want to have a beer with. (I heard reporters saying this, not other Dems.) Same kind of baloney that was said about Gore. I actually do think there are a lot of people who vote for someone they can "relate" to or think would be fun, without considering that this is irrelevant to the job at hand.
