Have an ailment? Bankrupt? Miracle Spring Water is the answer ...
Early this morning, I was flipping through the channels & stopped on an infomercial for free Miracle Spring Water, given away by sicko Rev. Peter Popoff. Anyone seen this? I guess he's been around for quite a while & was even exposed as a fraud back in the 80s. But, alas - God continues working through him still today ... in a fucking infomercial! :eyes:

I don't know how this guy can live with himself.

"Just as you instructed me to wash my eyes, feet and mouth with the Miracle Spring Water, God healed my ears, I can hear better, God healed my feet; I am able to walk without any pain. Prasie God I can walk better and hear better. He is doing things in my life." --Sister Gladys D. Kalamazoo, MI (4/11/05)

"I put $76.00 in the mail you asked for. On the third day of March, that same day, I got a call from the Human Services. They are sending me a check for $1,800. You said you saw Feb and March is a bless month for me. Feb of this year, my son sent me $500. I know the lord reveals these things to you. You are really a man of God." -- Sister L. Brown, Jackson, TN (3/23/05)

2. Ordered some this morning.
See ... I've got this thing on my foot - haven't walked in days. Squirt a little of this on it, I'll be back to work in no time. :P :hi:

4. I just submitted a prayer request for deliverance:
"Mr. Popoff, I write to request prayers of deliverance for all the poor desperate souls who actually send you money for your "miracle water." You are a sham and that you use the name of Christ is among the most shameful things I have ever witnessed."

8. I have Popoff on tape hyping this stuff
I think it's supposed to come from a miraculous spring somewhere in Russia or the Ukraine. Popoff came up with some cockamamie story about how God spared the Christians when Chernobyl went blooey, and this miracle spring helped them make it through the ordeal. Or something like that.

9. The prosperity mindset is Biblically derived, according to proponents
It has been around a long time and in many forms. But basically, it says give yourself to God and Jesus, and tithe 10 percent of all you own, and you are entitled to wealth, sayeth the Bible. That's what these folks preach.

It was extensively used by Jim and Tammy Faye Baker, as well as by "700 Club" hosts, including my favorite pseudo-rev, Pat Robertson.

Uh, kinda seems to run counter to Jesus' teachings to me, but then I am a blasphemer, I reckon....cuz I feel like Jesus is not my route to material riches.
