Donald Schaub Says He Doesn't Have Problem With Barrett

MILWAUKEE -- A threatening e-mail against Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett leads to drug, gun and computer threat charges against a Milwaukee man.

Last week, a mayoral staffer opened a threatening e-mail.

It read:

"To those who control the city, how would you like to be ground up in the filth of your own ideas? As a resident, I would like to see you gag on these statements. You do not have to be here. We are going to kill you. Share these n***** and s*** declarations with your friends in the inner city. Share them with your prosperous and educated friends and enemies in the superb suburbs as well. Maybe someday we will all be paying for this."

Police determined it came from the home of 42-year-old Donald Schaub.

Schaub didn't answer the door Tuesday afternoon when 12 News investigative reporter Colleen Henry tried to find him.

But police got a warrant and said during their raid, they found more than Schaub's computer.

They said they found a marijuana crop growing in a bedroom and several guns. That was also a crime because Schaub is a convicted felon.

"His parents lived there, and he lived there, and his dad died. That's all I know," Schaub's neighbor, Brian O'Toole, said.
