2. Well this certainly belongs in General Discussion
But having been in neither place I can't really comment.

Gay people in Northern Florida are OK.

4. I hated being in San Francisco
when I was there the last time. It was dirty, cold, and depressing. Nobody meets your eyes, nobody smiles, if you speak to a stranger they look either scared or annoyed. Expensive too!

9. Hmm, not my experience
I was just there last month, the weather was beautiful, and the people very friendly.

12. Could have just been the neighborhood,

which was Lower Snob Hill/Upper Tenderloin, and the reason I was there - to see a dying friend. I've never really warmed to the place though, even the two times I visited before.

8. They're just manipulating you to further the 'gay agenda'
Edited on Wed Jun-01-05 02:22 PM by tmorelli415
they are only using the 'nice' ploy to disguise their real intentions! Don't be fooled!

Here's how it works...

The gay people in Miami act 'fresh' - seems 'nice'
The gay people in San Francisco act 'coy' = seems 'not so nice'

The gay people in Topeka have been assigned to act 'haughty'... and so on and so on...

It all seems very 'nice' but in reality is a sophistocated ploy to distract unwitting victims, get them confused and ... WHAM! the next thing you know you've got your trousers around your ankles, boys are being 'nice' to each other, and the whole of civilization has gone to Hell in a hanbasket!

10. Hopefully you've lived in San Francisco.....otherwise, you
have no credibility making such a comment. I'm from the Bay Area and I've been to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale numerous times.

My experience is people are people everywhere. Some people are nice, other people are not so nice.

14. This whole thread was meant to be a joke
because someone posted a thread telling us to stop bashing SF.

BTW: I was born and raised in Miami, spent the eighties in San Fran living in the Fillmore area and I gotta say...I have no idea if the Gays are nicer in Miami than San Fran.

I think they might be cuter though..;-)
