I'm now a Star Wars fan
Edited on Wed Jun-01-05 04:11 PM by Maddy McCall

I saw the movie yesterday. Awesome.

Can someone tell me the sequence of all Star Wars movies? That's where I'm confused. I want to rent all of them from netflix, but I need to know the sequence.

Thanks for pushing me to take the yungun to go see it yesterday. I didn't even drink a daiquiri--the movie was THAT interesting. :D

Edited out a comment so as not to hurt anyone's feelings.

12. Thanks so much
Is Revenge of the Sith the final Star Wars movie that Lucas will make?

18. So he says, yes.
But there's a couple TV series in the works, one live-action and another animated. The animated one will probably be a continuation of the current Cartoon Networks "Clone Wars" series... the live-action series will take place between Ep. 3 and 4 and deal with original characters plus some minor characters from the films.

3. Here you go!
1. Phantom menace
2. Attack of the Clones
3. Revenge of the Sith :)
4. Star Wars (A New Hope)
5. Empire Strikes Back (IMO, the best of the series)
6. Return of the Jedi

You can get all of them thru net flix expect for, of course, Sith. You may also want to check out the Clone Wars DVD, which bridges the story between Clones and Revenge.

Enjoy!

16. YES! And I'm glad I didn't drink during the movie.
After the movie, I drove down to Ponchatoula and saw the sex cult church. That was the freakiest feeling I've ever felt. I'll post about that later.

Or start with Episode IV.

34. actually
it would probably be better to start with IV-VI and then watch I-III

or it really doesn't matter much.........just watch them :)

35. Episodes 1 and 2 are not that great
They are, in fact, pretty weak in the overall scheme of things.

I agree with Sheepy: If I were you, I would go right into Episodes 4 through 6--the adventures of Luke and Leia (Anakin's kids). In fact, you will find that the story picks right up from where you just left off (although 19 years later). Then if you feel like you need some more back story, attempt watching Episodes 1 and 2. But let me warn you about a character named Jar Jar Binks...

1 through 6

Sorry, I'm feeling a little snotty since I'm one of those "loons" who has been a fan since childhood.

19. Velma, I'l sorry.
I honestly was joking.

I dressed up like a vampire to go meet Ann Rice when I was younger. Please know that I don't really consider people who dress up to go to see Star Wars loons. I really don't think that...and wish that I could have encountered some people dressed up yesterday.

BTW, have we had a chance to talk together about Revenge of the Sith yet? My memory is so terrible.

9. Well...they were released in the order of 4-6 and then 1-3.
So, if you started at episode 1, and went through 6, you'd be chronologically correct, even though not in orderof release.

uniform to a Sci-Fi convention once? I was thin back then with long blond hair. Damn, I looked good in it, too! I still have it, but never in a million years could I fit into it.

When I found a parking place in Sacramento, I sat there and asked myself, "Do I really want to wear a Star Trek uniform? After a few Klingons, Cardassians and Vulcans walked past, I decided a NG uniform wasn't so bad.

As for Star Wars, I do have a kick-ass Episode IV, V and VI T-shirt and a glow-in-the-dark Darth Maul T-shirt. If you don't disown me over the Star Trek uniform, I don't think you'll disown me over the T-shirts. At least, I hope you won't. :D

Here I am in my IV, V and VI T-shirt:

My, it's been a few years. ^ This is pre-LASIK, pre-weight-gain Ladyhawk. The shirt is lighter in weight and color, but I still wear it. :) It's one of my faves.

24. Just be prepared for the fact that
episodes 1 and 2 aren't very good.

Personally, I'd go watch IV-VI first and then go back and watch the first two. It'll actually make more sense that way.

30. I agree
I felt as if the only reason I was watching 1&2 was to get me to 4...I was hoping 3 wouldn't be the same way, and was pleasantly suprised.

I think Jake Lloyd ruined it for me. The kid couldn't act enough to sell Count Chokula, let alone give the impression he would grow up to kill Count Dooku.

3 was awesome. The Emperor rules!

37. Glad you liked it Maddy. I thought it was great.
I guess there's two different orders you could watch them in, either the order in which they were made, which would be episodes 4-6 followed by episodes 1-3, or in story line order which would be 1-6 in order. Or you could watch 'em all twice and do it both ways.

39. I would watch them in 1-6 order if I was just coming into it.
Don't be dissuaded by people saying Episodes I and II sucked because that's bullshit. One obnoxious character does not spoil the great effects and overall story of two entire films. I think you'll get a much better "grand finale" effect from episodes IV, V and VI if you start at Episode I.
