I PASSED!! A+ certified! (For DU Geeks this means you fry :) |
|
Well today was a great and interesting day. Recently I passed the first portion of the test and then a week and a half later I attempted the OS part and I failed it by 21 freakin points. I was so devastated because a second failure means having to wait 30 days between EACH further attempt. In that time they're liable to update the damn exam again which means having to pass the FIRST part AGAIN!
Well thankfully I went in today after quitting my second job (I was working two jobs which meant I had NO days off whatsoever for study, I did it all after work) I used Memorial Day to really soak it up and I passed this time dammit.
Okay so check this out on the way home I'm so stoked I'm telling my girlfriend/good luck charm that today is her day we're doin anything she wants going anywhere if she wants to drag me to clothing stores well dammit today's the day to do it cause I'm happy ya undstan? I is happy that I can finally toss away weeks of fear and sleepless nights.
Part of my plan is to finish up the Network+ exam before they retire it at the end of this month because I've already spent $100+ in study materials that cover the current version which will no longer be available after June 30th.
Failing the OS part of the A+ obviously would've put a real crimp in that plan.
So right then and there some redneck wizzes past us and kicks up a large rock that cracks my windshield.
Okay still happy that's what I have insurance for.
We get home and the swamp cooler is leaking water like Ol Faithful.
Alright still in a good mood it's all good it's all good.
Well despite the little hiccups I had today put simply they both got resolved and everythings gonna be cool.
Now to you DU geeks reading this: I have a little experience with networks not a whole lot but some and I am thinking that now that I have weekends to really buckle down and study I feel I should be able to pull this off by June 30th.
I've also heard that overall the Network+ isn't quite as bad as the A+ test
Thoughts? Opinions?
