A lot of these states like New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Wisconsin, everything between Missouri and New York, were driven through on errands - taking my mom to Vegas, driving my aunt's stuff from Oregon to Kansas, going to a math conference in Niagra, New York, etc.

I travel a lot to major cities (anywhere with a lot of hospitals and doctors in one place), so can I say I've "seen" Colorado if I've driven between Denver airport, the office I rented for one day, and my airport hotel?

Same with Minnesota, Texas, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Oregon, Illinois, Massachussetts and a lot of other states.

The only states I've visited thoroughly are those in the Middle Atlantic (hey - I've seen ALL of Delaware), plus Virginia, California and Arizona.

Been in New York four times, I guess. All were god damn flights while in the army.

Kansas I blame on the god damn army too. Kentucky too, while I'm at it.

I just barely made Wyoming. I nipped the very upper north east corner while driving cross country. While there I had a flat and had no key to my trunk(lost it). The good folk of Wyoming gave me a ride (first car to come upon me stopped and offered a ride) to the (only) service station and the guy there drove me back and we broke into my trunk and I was good to go.

Here's to the good peeps of Colony, Wyoming.
