Leon Russell IS "The Master of Time and Space" |
|
Just found a copy of Leon Live at Media Play last night and snatched it up immediately. Haven't had or heard a copy of this in years (and years . . . ).
It is a good thing I work in an otherwise abandoned space, as the volume and dancing might be considered disruptive in cubesville.

3. I made my 13 year old daughter listen on the way home from the store |

since I endure so much programmed hip-pop commercial crap on the local station.
Why doesn't anybody make music like that anymore? Maybe they do, but they just don't get to record or get any airplay.
There's one or two songs I've heard on Y94 (my daughter's station) that have a bit of old rock-and-soul to 'em, even a bit of that Southern-fried rock flavor, but most of it is such pap.
I really would have embarresed myself if I didn't work in an empty space. I just had to get up and start dancing at work today.

I feel the same way about commercial radio. Thank Jobs for iTunes!
