I respect your privacy and don't mean to pry, but I am curious as to why they turned you down for short-term disability. Do you feel that their decision is 100% wacko, or is it comprehensible in some minutely fractional manner?
If you decline to answer that, would you answer how long it took Our Glorious Medical Apparatus to inform you of your ineligibility?
The trick is, never to get sick, even if you have insurance, because it burdens Our Glorious Freedom. /sarcasm off
PS: This news sucks and I am sorry for you. Whatever your ailment is, I sincerely hope it resolves itself quickly.

2. I filled out the form; they send me back another questionaire, regarding |
|
my lungs.
Do I smoke?
Have you taken any medications EVER? If so, when and why.
So now I have to answer these questions with "Allergies." "AS A CHILD." "VERY rare and nowhere near life threatening as an adult." "NEVER smoked."
Like I said, the bastards will discontinue anybody if they sneeze.
That's how it also was 3 years ago when I attempted.
But now that I've had surgery, there's no way they'd accept any application form.
