I gained 55 lbs with our daughter, and started at about 125. Ouch. And I've got the *lovely* pics to prove it :) Is this your first kiddo?

48. Yep, first one! And yeah, Mrs. IC started at 109lbs.

We were actually concerned initially, because her OB/GYN warned her to put on some weight prior to trying to get pregnant, but our little Ana Lucia sort of surprised us. Everything is cool now, though, as long as we keep a lookout for any danger signs, especially since there is family history on both of our sides for complications.

Weird, though: I still don't feel like a grownup yet!

But keeping in mind what you're doing it for helps :) Breastfeeding helps in getting back to your starting weight, too, not sure if that's her cup of tea, but it's good for her and the baby... I'll leave off with the advocating there, though. Hey, if she wants to feel better, I can send her a pic of me looking like I swallowed a watermelon and forgot to chew it ;) The pic I posted above is a couple months ago, post-kiddo...
