1. You'll have to pardon me, but caption which dick?
I'm certain that I'm not the first to say that that has to be the most phallic statue I have ever seen.

3. Here's a closer look...

But the dick I mean is Reagan. While I'd otherwise love to make a few comments about the design of the memorial, that's a memorial that's actually worthy because of WW II. (the war he missed out on as filming such classics as "This is the Army", "Million Dollar Baby", and "Juke Girl". :eyes: ) Reagan had no point being at that memorial because I couldn't find an iota of information suggesting Reagan was fighting anybody in the war; only making B-movies instead. (correct me if I'm wrong!)

4. I think rayguns stopped doing memorials after he got stung being
at the Bitburg one. He had absolutely no business being president much less attending WWII memorial ceremonies.

12. It was such a gaff that they couldn't suppress it. They tried to at first
but it was too much, thousand of swastikas on the headstones in plain ass sight.

8. You're right. RR was assigned to the "1st Motion Picture Unit" in CA
I kid you not.
No combat experience, but loads of dick-swinging swagger, which the cretins lapped up like cream.

9. But he sure posed like he was there himself, didn't he?
Kind of set the stage for another Great Poser.

10. However, he claimed that he was there when they liberated the camps
Edited on Thu Jun-02-05 06:14 PM by The_Casual_Observer
He actually said it, he actually remembered that he was there. He confused being there with watching the newsreel. It was all the same to him.

"We start bombing in 5 minutes"

6. This memorial stands at the edge of a sheer cliff...
Army Rangers had to climb this cliff on D-Day, all the while Germans were shooting and dropping grenades down on them.

I suppose the design is meant to reflect that.

But damn, it is mighty phallic.
