maybe once every 3 days.

Norton is crap. Has been since that idiot john thompson left IBM after screwing up OS/2 to join Symantec (Norton). They've been living off their name ever since.

I've had viruses come through on norton boxes. Not so with Trend.

Of course, I use Linux on most of my machines and therefore have no need to spend $60+yearly annual fees. But Trend is on my windoze boxes.

Also Pay-Bloated and shitty is Norton.

I must add..I fix and service Computers every day.
In 4 years I've never had one messed up because of Nod32
I've seen hundreds screwed up by Norton.

I didn't want to go with Norton because it had such a heavy footprint. Since I have a new machine I don't wanna start out fucking it up.

18. My Pleasure. I think Nod32 is only 39 bucks and 12 a year.

It has a very small footprint and uses next to nothing of your Memory. It's Extremely non-intrusive.
I learned about it when I was an IT Manager at Kodak.

17. Kaspersky Anti-Virus

I use version 4.5. I'd avoid KAV 5.0 - it has been unstable on both my computers. It can update every hour, as Kaspersky releases new signatures about 8 times a day. It also has decent heuristics, especially for backdoors, though its heuristics aren't quite up with NOD32 and BitDefender. When they are so quick to respond, though, it doesn't matter to me if the heuristics aren't top notch. It's about the best AV for catching trojans.

Just some friendly advice for you adaware users.It told me frequently that I had no spyware despite getting all the updates.I tried spy sweeper and it found a sh*tload of stuff that McAfee and adaware missed.They offer a free 30 day trial.
