10. Fairly high smoke point, subtle flavor. |
|
Very good for sauteeing when no additional flavor is required. :hi:

Although peanut or safflower oil has a higher smoke point.
Platanos fritos are the caca!

19. Peanut adds too much flavor for what I wanted. |
|
And I don't have any safflower.

I just don't like the whole rapeseed thing. I know, I know... it's detoxified and whatever... but still... I think I'll stick with peanut & sunflower.
Thanks for the info! :hi:

11. Because it has a high smoke point... |
|
...and it's a pretty healthy fat. Not olive oil healthy, but still.

Tastes good (okay, not with plantains :P), but too pricey for me to deep-fry in.

21. You can't fry in olive oil |
|
The smoke point is too low.
Now, get you some canola oil and add a little olive oil to it...you get the nice olivey taste and the canola takes the heat.

24. Years ago I worked with a woman.... |
|
who liked to go nekkid when she was at home. You should have seen this woman. :eyes:
She burned her tit frying bacon and ended up in the hospital for burn treatment. What a damn sensitive location that was! And her tits were....if I may say so....enormous.
