My dad's having cataract surgery this morning |
|
One eye only, but he was a bit nervous about it. Please send good vibes so nothing bad cuts into his golfing time.

I had it done.. I thought it was going to hurt and I was a bit frightened that I would see everything. It wasnt! Easy and painless. I had congenital cataracts (I'm assuming he has aged cataracts) but the surgery is the same.
The sexy sun glasses they give you after are the best!! :)
Hope he has a successful and fast surgery!

it will only take an hour or so and he will be able to see clearly the next day. My husband has his cataracts removed just before he died, he was so tickled that he could see clearly again. Nothing for your dad to be worried about, I know he'll be fine.

I can see better than I have been able to in my whole life. I am nearsighted and have worn glasses since I was Six and now I can watch TV without glasses. Great. I still need them to drive or for any distance type thing.

Luckily, he has my mom to take care of him during his recovery, and I can vouch for her bedside manner. :) He's in otherwise excellent health, so fingers crossed.
