Happy Birthday Paulette Goddard!!
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002104/

She would have been 95 today. Paulette Goddard stars in one of my all-time favorite movies, "The Women"... which is on TCM today.

1. "The Women" is a great flick!
I have it on DVD and enjoy it every now and then. There was a lame remake in the 50s that had men in the cast -- ruined it.

2. I adore "The Women"
Mary Astor is a insufferable little priss (can you say "goody two shoes), but the film itself is absoultely wonderful. The casting was what made it perfect...there was a recent stage remake that just wasn't the same as the film.

4. L'amour! L'amour! The Women is one of my faves too!
Paulette was great. She was a pretty gal and a good actress.

Of course, I thought Rosalind Russell stole that show...

5. Paulette Goddard is about the only movie star from that time period
that you could pluck from the time-ether web and set down, whole and breathing, in our time without anyone being aware that she was from another era. She was smart, sexy, sassy and thoroughly modern.
