"So wop on the beat": Post your misunderstood TV theme lyrics here.
For some strange reason, I have the "One Day at a Time" theme as an earworm right now. I don't know, maybe I have Pat Harrington on the brain or something. Anyway, it reminded me of how when I was a young'n, I couldn't figure out the one line in the song. "So walk on your feet" became "so wop on the beat."

There has to be more misunderstood lines out there, right?

1. "A hot dog makes her lose control"
To this day I don't know whether that line is in the theme to the Patty Duke show, or was a creation of my adolescent mind

3. I really didn't think the line was "Gee, our old LaSalle ran great"...
from "All in the Family". I had no idea what they were singing, actually.

5. I was in my late 20's before I learned that the Three's Company theme
said "Down at our rendezvous". I thought they were just scatting, something like "Domma nah bah deh boo"
