When I first saw 'Pretty in Pink' long ago, I had the distinct feeling that Molly Ringwald should not end up with Andrew McCarthey. As time passed, I learned I felt this way because Andrew McCarthey is a complete douche bag.

Even test audiences thought Molly should have ended up with Duckie. But really, what do you expect from a film with both McCarthey AND the Dice Man?!

Ick.

So who should Molly Ringwald gone off with?

I think John Hughes gets a boner over putting couples together who come from extreme spectrums. Which I think is great, but in regards to this film, I don't know what girl or guy would have went after Andrew McCarthy after being shunned and pissed on, like his character so aptly did.
Oh! I forgot james Spader was in that film, total asshole, but god damned amazing, he's gotta go up in the poll.
