11. Do you camp in a tent
or have an RV? I'm finding more and more campgrounds are getting quite unfriendly to people without an RV.

34. Really?
Why wouldn't they like tent campers? I haven't been camping for a couple years (wife doesn't really like it) but we couldn't find a hotel this time so she said she wouldn't mind. When we do camp though we stay in a tent.

10. Jazz Fest
My husband is running the annual Coleman Hawkins "HawkFest" starting tonight. It is outside and we have gotten about 3 inches of rain so far today and tomorrow it is supposed to be severe. Just lovely.

I am not a big jazz fan but both of my boys are playing tomorrow so I will be there to see them. The rest of the weekend I plan on doing my job and watching the French Open finals.

All in all a great weekend if the HawkFest does not get rained out.

12. Naval War College (Newport, RI) tomorrow
My son is doing a color guard for their Battle of Midway Anniversary program. It's actually a very nice fancy to-do.... they have a cocktail hour and then there's usually a short presentation (a skit of some sort) in the auditorium, followed by dinner outside w/ a swing band.

We will tour the War College museum.

Probably some cleaning on Sunday.

29. Virtually none for me - it's some kind of home-based business thing.
The HR director at my husband's company does this on the side. You get an opportunity to taste a variety of wines, and if you want to, buy some. My husband took care of the guest list and I've cleaned the house. We'll put out some cheese, sliced meats, and crackers, put on some good music, and socialize with our friends while tasting different wines.

Live theater, esp. Shakespeare, is WONDERFUL! I know you'll have a really good time. I love England, and look forward to coming back. Such an amazing, historical place. When we were there, I just walked around with my mouth open nearly all the time. Awesome...

Tomorrow, Misunderestimator is coming over for an early dinner; then she and I will drive into downtown LA for the encounter with Mr. Pitt and a play...Should be a blast! (The PDA event)
No plans as yet for Sunday; lie around, drink coffee and read the Sunday LA Times...

Did I mention how much I love being retired? Wow, I had noooo idea it would be this sweet...

Yay! I got a full weekend planned:

It's been raining here all week! I want some outdoors time.

Saturday I'm going to the flea market and just wander around looking, browsing and people-watching.

Sunday afternoon, I'm going to my first pool party of the year! :bounce: Hot dog cookout too! Gotta remember my sunscreen. And gotta remember to bake brownies to take. :9
