I'm mostly happy; I can allow unhappiness to swallow me up, as I did last night...But that's foolish. I am surrounded by my loving RL family and by my "virtual" DU family. Everyone values me, so why do I punish myself by dwelling on the unhappy bits in my life? I don't know...

I really have no cause for complaint....Didn't Abraham Lincoln say that most people are as happy as they make up their minds to be? Some days, I can't make up my mind, and then I suffer for that. Too stupid for words...

You have a very old soul, I think. Even though I know that you are the same age as my younger daughter, I look on you as more wise and mature than myself. I truly respect your wisdom. You are funny and witty as well. One of the real foundations of DU and the Lounge. Thank you for this opportunity to expound at length.

The worst thing is that I almost feel like I have multi personality disorder. It's not that I am like Sibyl and don't know what part of me is doing to me. I just think different things all the time about it: I am fat. I am thin. I look good. I should eat. I shouldn't eat. I need help. I should be able to handle this on my own.
Then there is the why question, which has many different answers as well.
I know that I need to be looking outward more, but everything has become so difficult.
