2. I had similar bad luck with a pair of Skechers.

Turned me off to them, although several other people have had no trouble with theirs. Maybe I just got a bad pair. :shrug:

4. Same here,

Something like '58 or so. The local shoe store had them and I guess I liked the idea of soft soles instead of the 'ol poll parrot or buster brown hard soles (quicker starts and more sneaky), or more likely my mom bullied me into getting some. This was my first epiphany: The shoes got on my feet and I, at that instant, was a nerd. My first and last hush puppies, and thank god soon came the Beatles.
