Do you know how much work it is to be a wife? |
|
A lot. Since Miz t.'s been laid up I'm learning about all the little things I kind of took for granted. Although I was/am very appreciative. Really.
I now know how to operate the dishwasher and washer & dryer. Fixing dinner every night is a major pain. I mean EVERY night. We need to eat out more.
If you have a favorite casserole you'd like to fax over that would be great. Thanx. ;-)

Now that you've got me thinkin' about it...I want some of this:
Shrimp and Cucumber Salad
3 tablespoons sugar 3 tablespoons white vinegar 3 tablespoons prepared mustard (Dijon would be good in this) 6 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 Tbsp chopped fresh dill (or 1 tsp. dried dillweed)
2 large cucumbers 1 pound cooked medium shrimp
Salt and Pepper
Bibb lettuce leaves
Wash and dry lettuce leaves; set aside.
In a small bowl, stir white vinegar into sugar until the sugar dissolves. Whisk or stir in mustard, then mayonnaise. Add the fresh dill (or dried dillweed) and stir to blend.
Peel the cucumbers, cut in half lengthwise, and scrape out the seeds with a spoon. Chop the cucumbers into 1/2-inch cubes.
Combine the cucumbers and cooked shrimp in a large bowl; add the dressing and toss to cover. Season with salt and pepper. Serve on Bibb lettuce leaves.

But I have to say, I wouldn't stand for a husband who didn't help with dishes, laundry, cooking, etc. But that's what works for us, and whatever works for you guys, that's great :) But nice that you have that extra appreciation now!
