I am hanging out in my basement with my puppies.
We are under a tornado warning & my husband is a few miles away at a baseball game. I hope he is ok.

1. Keep us posted! Can you take pictures of the puppies while you are
down there? What the heck...you are trapped with puppies. Might as well post some puppy pics.

5. Sorry, no can do.
No camera. But trust me they are very cute. Although my Golden is abnormally mellow today because he had to have shots earlier today.

2. I'm sure he's fine, RR. You take care, now.
:scared: Bloody hell. I've only been in the basement once during a tornado. It cut through town 4 miles away -- an F5 -- but thankfully missed us. All we had was a broken window and some punched siding. The hailstones were the size of baseballs.

 All will be well. Please check in once you've heard from him.

7. I am sure he's ok. They are having the regional college games
here in Lincoln. A lot of people are probably a little freaked at the stadium. These kinda storms do not worry my hubby.

3. Be careful Rainbow`
tornados are nothing to take lightly....If your hubby is outside he has a good chance of seeing severe weather develop and can seek shelter.

Good luck

Hug the doggies for me.

9. I have lived in Nebraska most of my life & seen a number of
tornadoes over the years.
At least I have my computer & my radio.

Hail can mess up a car, though, that is for sure!

16. You sure do. I use to storm chase with my brother.
He is 8 years older than me & while he was in college & I was in Jr. high he would pick my up to chase storms. It would make my mom so mad.

17. I never got to chase.
But I was a weather spotter for awhile. We had pagers that would go off when we were needed. They would announce our positions and we would have to go to the spot and watch the sky. Once I was standing way out in the middle of nowhere and I caught sight of the wall. Then the spicket starts to come out of the damn wall and all I could think was Crap! There is nothing here and I don't think I'll make it to a shelter in time.
It is an adrenaline rush that I really miss. The only reason that I don't do it anymore is because of babysitting issues for my daughter. Otherwise, I would still be out there.

18. As scary as it is there is an incredible rush seeing
Mother Nature's fury.
I remember watching a tornado coming down the street at us & my grandparent yelling a me to get down to the basement.
I was hypnotized by it's destructive beauty.

19. You can get stuck right to the spot when you see one
sometimes. I have watched as people almost become paralyzed by them. It's so weird to explain to someone who has never been really close to one.
All of the storm spotting that I did never got me as close to one as I got in my own backyard. I watched as one hit my backfield a few years ago. It's so weird how loud it is and then everything gets almost quiet-too quiet. That's the only part that really freaks me out.
