1. Beautiful elegant bird
We have great blue herons by us. They have the same majesty about themselves.

2. I have one in my front yard every day
His name is Oscar. The lady accross the street feeds him (bacon).

Saw him snatch a gecko out of one of my front bushes the other day.

4. he sees the ducks
eyes on the side of the head, for a wider field of view. He's looking right at 'em, with his left eye.

Beutiful birds

6. Beautiful shot
We have the occasional Great Blue Heron around the lake here, but I've never snapped one.

7. I've noticed birds tend to ignore birds of different species.
I laugh because I imagine them not thinking any species but their own are real birds! (Of course, this does not apply when raptors are involved.)
