Why do people want to ask questions? |
|
Aside from wanting to get answers, I mean.

6. Well, of course it makes you cool |
|
because that's my very point--that people DO NOT need answers to their questions. There is something much more than seeking answers going on when somebody asks a question?

Imagine an alien from a planet where nobody asked any querstions, where there were no questions. And then they came here and heard all the questions human beans ask. How would they even ask us what a question was? Would they even wonder? What a funny thing a question mark is?

10. Yeah. They build steam. They fester. |

A deeper question is behind the surface question, pushing it up.

16. My Kitty Talks All the Time |
|
But all she ever has is questions, too. "When are you going to let me out of this rinky-dink apartment?" "Why can't I go into the closet and satisfy my wool fetish?" That kinda stuff.

15. It is a passive aggressive way of exerting control |
|
Or, it can be a submissive way of saying you have the answers from a person lacking confidence.
Hell, I dunno. Why did you ask this question??
:)
