A waste of pure athletic talent on a stupid bad attitude
Edited on Sun Jun-05-05 10:30 AM by nytemare
Perhaps if he was at the organized team practices, like all the rest of the players who weren't injured, he wouldn't be in this situation.
This is his 2nd year in the league, and he was already trying to renegotiate his contract. I suppose his equity is down, now.

On edit: It is about safety Sean Taylor of the Redskins getting
charged with aggravated assault.

1. Another asshole
Just like his team mate who was taken after him in the draft. Kellen Winslow Jr.

4. It is a shame
The man had a MULTI MILLION dollar contract. So, after 1 year in the nfl, still under contract, he decides he wants to re-negotiate. As far as I'm concerned, after 1 year, you haven't proven SHIT.

If I was Joe Gibbs, I wouldn't renegotiate. Every chance he gets, Gibbs has been saying how dissappointed he was that Taylor was not at the practices with his teammates. Gibbs was right. Taylor should realize that now.

2. Just another example of what happens when you have a country
where people who can play a game well are treated like royalty and pampered all their lives...they get to believe that the law doesn't apply to them because they've never been held accountable for anything they do.

8. Pretty much. Except the athlete at least had their athletic ability to
contribute. With Bush, I don't see much contribution.

11. No, he doesn't except for one similarity:
He's good at playing a game. With him, it's being a good puppet instead of a good linebacker for example, but it's still being a player in the game.

5. I would drop him
Not worth it having a non-team player on your roster. Everyone else is up there learning the playbook, and he is down in Miami getting into trouble.

9. Yeah it sure is.
I think it is a sad waste of a gift. The guy's got some mental/psychological problems for sure. I don't disagree with any of the above posts. But I would like to know that he's getting help for whatever the underlying problems are. Part of me wants to say to hell with him. He's a pampered jock who fucked up one too many times. But another part of me's wondering if there's a way to help someone like this. Yes he's got to take the first step and admit to a problem. But there needs to be a better system of mental heathcare in this country. This would reach out not only to the Sean Taylor's but also to those who just might snap one day and take a gun to school or to work.
