Would you give him a few bucks?

Of course, I wouldn't wait for him to become homeless first.

I would make him watch a bunch of movies, like Grapes of Wrath. And Farenheit 911.
You know, kind of like those faith-based organizations shoving the bible down homeless people's throats along with dinner.

"I wouldn't pee in his mouth if he was dying of thirst." That seems appropriate in this case.
:evilfrown:
None of those other hypothetical homeless guys have done the damage to the country and to the number of other people as Delay, or are as basically evil as Delay is. I have no sympathy whatsoever for him. Think of him as the Duke brothers in "Trading Places". If he ended up as a homelss bum in the street it would be a much better fate than he deserves.

10. I would not give him money. |
|
But I would donate food and money to the local shelter, and tell Tom where to find it. I would buy him a newspaper so he could look for a job, and if he needed a ride to the job interview I'd give him the ride or a bus ticket.

Sheesh. There are six billion people in the world. If we help them all, without regard to their histories and their likelihood of causing harm if they get back on their feet, we bankrupt ourselves while destroying the world. It is right to make priorities in our giving. People who give to every bum who asks for a hand-out will soon be asking for hand-outs themselves.

to work cleaning horse stalls and doing all the hard, sweaty stuff I would rather not have to do then I would feed him a meager meal and offer him the same the next day. I would work him like other people are now having to work, long, hard days and give him just enough food to get by. It would be interesting to see how he likes it. If someone else came along who was needy I would then cut him loose and tell him it is just the way our "new" system works. No references either.

I'd put him up in my spare room and give him meals. When I got out of work he would have to help me deliver and install campaign signs, for democratic candidates. Maybe a few days of working a 12 pound sledge hammer would give him an appreciation of what most people have to do to eat.
