5. As much as I detest the military nowadays, |
at least I can thank it for proper posture and bearing when at an interview/facing a board.

8. Here's a tip I got that worked for me, and worked well. |
The interviewer sat me down in his office and asked me, "So, Mr. Knapper, what can I do for you." I replied, "Well, I think we're here to talk about what I can do for YOU." I put him on the defensive, I pretty much led the interview, and got an offer that day. Unfortunatly, September 11 and Stop-loss had other plans, but it was very nice to dominate an interview like that.

9. prolly too late, but here's my advice: |
mental trick: act (to yourself) as if you already have the job and have to start tomorrow. what kind of questions would YOU ask them? You'd ask how their operation works, and how you'd fit in that process. Keep your mind in that mode, and you'll fare very well, because you'll be at the mental point to answer THEIR questions accordingly.

I got there about 20 min early, and the interviewer (the branch manager of the insurance company)took me early. Interview went pretty smooth and quick, and he seemed impressed by my posture, and the way I answered his questions firmly, clearly, while making eye contact. I've been told to call him back at 9 tomorrow morning to find out if we're going to move on. :)
