6. Where I live there are a lot of Laotian people.
I was told by one that he had to explain to his aged grandfather that hotdogs are NOT made from dog meat.

2. Something about pets.

I used to think it was maybe about intelligence... then I turned 9 and found out how smart pigs are.

The whole intelligence thing nearly put me off eating octopuses... except it didn't. I still eat both pork and the sucker things on octopus tentacles.

4. HA!
You do NOT want to know what I thought the word "tentacles" was at first glance.

8. My first grade teacher made me call them testicles!
Then when mom recapped my day I said I made a bad mistake at school that octopuses have tentacles. She said I was right. Then I said, No mom, my teacher said they were testicles."

At the time I did not know my mom was to the right of Attila the Hun. The next day she brought me down to the principal's office and forced me to rat on my teacher (otherwise no Bosco and a bizarre product that may sound delightful "Lickamaid" even in these modern times). I was given a new teacher who had neither tentacles nor testicles.
