Who here is buying both? Or one of the two?
Personally, I'm pickin' up the new White Stripes. Coldplay can kiss my bottom. :P

3. Coldplay is appealing to pseudo intellectual wusses |
|
While the White Stripes merely rock. While not the White Stripes, the best album last year was "Van Lear Rose". Would any of those weeping ninnies in coldplay even talk to Loretta Lynn?

14. Then call me a pseudo intellectual wuss..... |
|
cuz I can't wait to get me the Coldplay album! Although I think that I am uber-intellectual and not even close to being a wuss, FYI! :P I must say that the White Stripes rock as well..... BTW, are you really amish? Just curious....

8. Love the White Stripes, but "Blue Orchid" |
|
Sounds a bit too much like Prince (the artist formerly known as).
Disappointed, but I'll buy it.

"Blue Orchid" the first time I heard it.
But now I can't get it out of my head.
It's so raw. I love it. :D

21. When I first heard ii |

it reminded me of the wretched glam metal slipknot spin-off atrocity that was the murderdolls....
but you know I think it grew on me too.

11. Sorry, but it's hard for me to care. |

Popular music lost me a long time ago. And trying to type the word "ago,' I kept typing "age." Take it for what you will.

The White Stripes are good, but they could be so much better if they replaced their drummer. I'm not a music snob, and I normally don't even notice those kinds of things, but often the drumming sounds like the energizer bunny to me.

15. Coldplay got beat on the UK charts by a RING TONE |
|
Faster than you can say Max Headroom. That's gotta be either humbling or infuriating for Coldplay.

|
Coldplay leaves me....well....cold. They're an ok band with a bloated rep.
The Stripes are one of the best bands out there right now, period. They take chances, they're truly weird and creative, and they have a cool concept.

I love the video for "Blue Orchid". (Then again I love pretty much anything Floria Sigismondi does.)
