bugmenot: If you are required to register to read articles at web sites,

use bugmenot to avoid the spam that comes your way from giving out your email address. Here's the Windoze directions on how to use it:

1. Copy the URL requiring registration to the clipboard (Ctrl-C)
2. Open up a new browser window & point it to http://bugmenot.com /
3. Paste in URL into bugmenot text window. (Ctrl-V)

Most times the ID / password that is returned works. If not, there's a button to get another ID / password combination. Most web sites use cookies to keep track of this kind of data, so make sure you turn on cookies for these sites.

You can be a good citizen and add ID / password combinations if you hit a site not on bugmenot.
