It's official--I'm not going to be out on the street
We found an apartment and it's in town (I didn't want to move the boys away from their friends with only one year of school left).

It's actually a very lovely apartment--lots of cabinets in the kitchen and twice the counter space I have ever had.

The kitchen/dining area is twice the space I have right now. The living room is a tad smaller. The bedrooms are about the same (the boys will lose a closet) but there is much more storage in the basement.

I think we're going to be ok.

3. Congrats!
It's so hard to find places now. I live in a college town and they tend to base the rent on how many college students they can shove into a place. That simply means that most blue collar families can no longer afford to rent a place around here.
I'm stuck staying w/ my parents until I can find something more reasonable.

4. Great MissMillie!
I didn't know you were looking for a place. Did you loose your lease or something?

5. My landlord sold the building I live in and the new owner
wants to live in my half (well actually, she wanted to live in the other half but that tenant is under Sec 8 contract--it's like a lease with the government).

My boys have only one year of school left, and they are very active in this schools NJROTC unit. Moving them away from that would have been very detrimental.

6. Aw, I'm so glad that worked out for you... I believed it would indeed, but
it's always soooooo stressful until papers are signed, money changes hands and the deal is DONE.

Congratulations, you did well. You planned, backed it up and accomplished what you needed and YAY for the counter space!!!!!!
