Should I go see Brian Wilson perform "SMiLE" live? |
|
I think Brian Wilson is a genius who in work such as "Pet Sounds" and "Smile" creates lush pop symphonies uncomporable in modern popular music.
That being said, I wonder if he and his band can recreate the magic of the recordings live, especially since his voice seems extremely fragile.
Anyone see him recently, perhaps on this current tour? What was your opinion? I don't feel like shelling out a bunch of money with high hopes only to be dissapointed. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

if you are a fan, you'll kick yourself for not going. What a remarkable event!
the music exposes a new, almost "serious" music perspective. The musicians are superb. It's better than ever, IMO

4. People raved about it here when he played. |

The show got GREAT reviews. The deejay's on the morning show that I listen to went, and both agreed that it was transcendent.
