My orchids are blooming!

Not my pictures, but this is what I am looking at. Brings so much beauty to my home.

2. For this reason alone I should live someplace where orchids are easier

to grow- like Hawaii, or Santa Barbara, or South Florida (instead of Wisconsin). Maybe someday.

3. They grow nicely in North Florida too. I have a greenhouse full

of them. We have to heat it in the winter though.

4. I have a sunroom which is heated, but its not really optimal.

I have bought a lot of orchids on EBAY- and many of the growers are from Cal or Fl. Found out the hard way that some of them just won't do well this far north unless you really control their environment. If my local orchid grower can't get them to grow, I don't try any more.

But at one point I've had every kind of orchid. Phals are the easiest!
