10. I screwed neglected to run a couple computer jobs

Not to make excuses, but the day before we had found out a co-worker had taken his own life, so i was quite upset.

y know, we had a similar event some months back in our company's IT department and the word in all the units was to not expect much out of that group for a few weeks. Very understandable. Do you have an employee assistance service in your org? I'd call them, they can be very helpful and can help you deal with your pain. It also gives you a bit of a leg to stand on with your supervisor - you know you are under duress and are seeking help.

And it is truly scary...But I lived through it and became a better person for it. But it was awful at the time. I did lose my job. But it opened doors for me.
