Rumsfeld ruins Norway's 100th anniversary.
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 02:37 PM by praxiz
This week, Norway is celebrating the 100 year old breakup with Sweden. Norway got its own constitution in 1814 and chose the colors of other freedom-loving states like France and the US (at the time); red white and blue. In 1905 our government decided no longer to live under the rule of the Swedish king, we adopted a king as our own (literally) from Denmark and voila, we were a true sovereign nation. (Until Hitler decided it would make a great place for his beach house in 1939)

Guess who's came to town, TODAY!

(The mass murdering asshole no. 1 from the left.)

This is of course a few days after a recent media buzz about US cargo planes making a pit stop in Norway for refueling (Hey, didn't you just invade one of the largest oil producing countries in the world?).
Trouble is, the plane carried prisoners on their way to the Guantanamo Gulag for some "aggressive interviews".

Amnesty was not pleased. Several people, including lawyers and prominent judges and of course the head of the Norwegian Amnesty International office wanted him ARRESTED for war crimes!

There were of course protests:

But Donnie never saw those of course, because he was invited on a yacht by OUR defense minister (who also poses in uniform for cameras without having served a single minute in the army).

The demonstrations continued unabated, though, with chants like:

"We don't want your fucking war"
"Hey, hey USA. How many kids did you kill today?"

(For those of you familiar with the most important and popular sport in the REST of the world :) , people were also carrying a red card, meaning you have to get off the field, dumb ass (Rumsfeld, not you-you).

And an online poll on the nations biggest newspapers website concludes that 60% of Norwegians think Donald Rumsfeld is a war criminal. Awesome.

Thank you, come again, Mister Rumsfeld Commanding Asshole, SIR!

1. Norway rules!
Thanks for this, and thanks to your fellow citizens for having the balls to do the right thing.

If you arrest that swine, rest assured I am not coming to his rescue.

Does Norway subscribe to summary executions like the good old Khmer Rouge did?

2. Could you imagine the international crisis if we did?

I mean geez, we would have been bombed as flat as Denmark.

8. Takk! Norway rocks!
I'm very proud of my ancestry right now. Would you mind hanging on to Rummy until you can box him up and ship him to the Hague for his war crimes trial?

11. Any neo-CON in Europe is a terrible insult
I am always surprised when criminals Like Rumsfeld or Rice travel to countries where they are despised and unwelcome. His presence in Norway is an insult to a fine nation.
